No Sugar Shrikhand

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain Yogurt

  • 1/2 cup Switten 1:1 zero-calorie sweetener (Grinned fine powder)

  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom

  • A few strands of saffron

  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Take a large bowl and line it with a cheesecloth or a muslin cloth. Set aside.

  2. In another bowl take Yogurt

  3. Transfer the Yogurt to the cheesecloth-lined bowl.

  4. Bring the edges of the cloth together and tie it up to form a pouch.

  5. Hang the pouch over the bowl for a few hours or overnight to allow the excess water to drain out of the yogurt. You can hang it over your kitchen sink or use a wooden spoon to suspend it over the bowl.

  6. After a few hours, the yogurt will thicken and become creamy.

  7. Take out the yogurt in a mixing bowl, add Switten 1:1 Zero calorie sweetener and ground cardamom and saffron. Mix well. Store in room temperature for 5-6 hours still sweetener powder melt within

  8. Garnish with chopped nuts, if desired.

  9. Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious no sugar shrikhand!
